I disagree. Compare how many big fights the US hosted involving two foreign fighters with England. If corruption occur it doesn't necessarily always benefit the locals, unlike England.

Lol, those guys in the restaurant were looking at Ward like "who the **** is he and why are those cheap cameras filming him"...They might have thought they were shooting a script for a porn movie.

No one knows or gives a **** about Ward, not even most americans. No one wants to pay tickets to see him fight. No one wants to buy his pay per view. The guy has no clue that there can be more than 4 000 chairs in a boxing arena.

Who cares for what Ward has to say. Few know who he is anyway...

Kessler and Froch are the only legitimate threats in the division, Ward needs to acknowledge that simple fact and the simple fact that people want to see him fight Kessler in particular again.

It'd be amazing to see him come over to Europe and provide boxing with a great fight.

Most of the biggest robberies I've seen in the last few years have occurred in America:

    Williams vs Lara
    Cloud vs Campillo
    Rios vs Abril

    All benefited the American fighter.

Not to deny the existence of national bias, but promotional affiliation has always been the key to corruption.

To that list, add Pacquiao vs Bradley. Don't forget the terrible corrupt officiating that benefitted American fighters in Mayweather-Hatton and Hopkins-Calzaghe. Cortez seemed happy to allow Hopkins to grapple, hit and hold all night. Every time Ricky got close to Mayweather Cortez broke them up

As for Ward's interview, Froch and Kessler have made it clear all along that they want to rematch each other first, then Ward. Why would they make him an offer, when they're in negotiations to rematch each other???

Ward clearly sounds upset that the best fights are taking place in his division, and he isn't involved in them. Simply because he has a few hundred fans in Oakland, and a couple of fans elsewhere, no-one cares to see this guy headbutt, elbow and grapple his way to boring decision wins, which is why his viewing numbers and purses are lower than the guys he's talking about.

Look at the publicity Froch got for beating Bute, that could have been Ward's publicity, but he stayed away from Bute. One more point, Froch and Kessler are both making more money than Ward - 'That's interesting'

Has there ever been a more ******ed post on ESB? He's not involved in the fights because he already beat them both. They made it clear whoever wins will get another shot at the no.1 and thats what they are fighting for. Ward got huge publicity and praise for wiping out the no.1 LHW champ while Bute was getting busted up by some nobody.

There's your post right here for starters

No, they are fighting for bragging rights, titles and money. Where did Kessler and Froch make this clear? Provide quotes from both fighters please

    :lol::rofl:patsch

What praise and publicity? The only thing evident that night was that Chad Dawson cannot safely make 168 - Edison Miranda knocked him out in sparring a week earlier  Ward didn't wipe out the LHW champ, he beat up a drained 168 journeyman, you wipe out the 175 champ by going up to 175 and beating him for his title :deal

That 'nobody' Bute got busted up by is Carl Froch, the consensus number 2 SMW in the world.

What publicity by the way!? As far as I can tell, Ward is still an unknown fighter with a small following in Oakland, was the Ward Dawson fight even on PPV?? But on point, anyone who rates Ward's win over Dawson is clearly trolling, so don't waste my time again

Hahaha. He was getting busted up by Grechev. More proof you're the biggest know nothing on ESB. Miranda is rumour, not fact. theres video proof of Dawson manager claiming he was cutting the weight fine. Dawson is a pro and had months to make the weight. Fighters move up and down and have been doing so for centurys. Fact of the matter is Ward was too good and the opinion of a hater like you means nothing.

So Roy Jones wasn't affected by coming from 193-199 pounds - 185 pounds?

De La Hoya wasn't affected by going from JMW to WW?

An article from the weigh in

    http://www.boxingnews24.com/2012/09/dawson-looks-weight-drained-for-ward-fight/

Title: 'Dawson looks weight drained for Ward fight'

Dawson's manager  What do you expect him to say? 'Chad is ****ed, he's killed himself to make weight and has no chance' :patsch

    To add to this

All excuses. From the man himself.
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LPylXHNEzRQ

Dropping 7 pounds over months isn't being weight drained.

Ward beat him by shutout and made him look bad. Lot of people had Dawson winning that fight.

Even the reporter said he looked good. Too bad for you hater.

Ward whips Dawson in statement win

Rafael's remarks: "Performances get no better than Ward's in this big-time pound-for-pound showdown. Simply put, Ward stamped himself as perhaps the best fighter in the world not named Floyd Mayweather Jr. He dominated in stunningly easy fashion against an elite opponent in a fight that most expected to be highly competitive. Even though Ward plowed through the Super Six World Boxing Classic tournament against a slew of top super middleweights to win a pair of world titles, including the final in December against Carl Froch, and emerged as the king of the division, this fight appeared (on paper anyway) to be his toughest test. Instead, Ward, 28, made it look like one of his easiest fights, much to the delight of the 8,500 hometown fans at the Oracle Arena.

Ward thoroughly and systematically beat down Dawson, a taller, longer, bigger man with immense talent and a résumé almost as good as Ward's -- but compiled in the light heavyweight division, in which he is the world champion. After Dawson, 30, of New Haven, Conn., completed a lopsided decision win against the great Bernard Hopkins in April, he called out Ward and surprised many when he said he would drop from 175 to fight Ward at 168. He also agreed to go on the road to Ward's hometown, so much credit to him on both counts.

Although many criticized the match, believing it would be a boring fight between fighters who rely far more on boxing and technical skills than mano a mano slugging, they were wrong. Although one-sided, it was a highly entertaining fight that had fans on their feet and cheering throughout. HBO, often criticized for how it spends its money, was right to bankroll this fight. We got to see a good fight and find out what happens when two of the best in the business meet.

Ward took over early and never let up. He dropped Dawson three times, perhaps giving credence to the story circulating that Edison Miranda had knocked out Dawson in sparring during his training camp. Ward cut Dawson's right eye in the second round and dropped him in the third, fourth and 10th rounds, mainly using a laser-like left hook that Dawson couldn't avoid. After Dawson went down in the 10th round, he made it to his feet but was absolutely finished. And he said as much to referee Steve Smoger, who called it off at 2 minutes, 45 seconds. It was a wise move by Dawson, who was down 90-79, 89-80, 89-80 and had no prayer left".

This is a pretty weak response, even by your standards :rofl:

The only person on here who denies that Dawson was severely weight drained is you :deal
