Well i say this, Matthysse is a far greater threat then Cotto at this stage. And Cotto Made Mayweather work, and even took 3 rounds. And this was a totally passed it Cotto

    1. Cotto is a HUGE puncher too. 39 fights, 30 KO's. Matthysse = 35 fights, 31 KO's. Take into account Cotto has been up against better opposition, you'll realise that Matthysse doesn't have as much of a punching advantage as you think.

    2. Cotto came into the ring over 160lbs, the weight that Mayweather dealt with him at. Some of Matthysse's power will weaken as he moves up to 147lbs.

    3. Cotto is by FAR a better Boxer - he's a future hall of famer also, thus has the ability to make Mayweather work. Matthysse is not a great boxer, I mean...ask Alexander and Judah. And as a side note, where was his punching power against this level of opposition (i.e a Zab Judah). Oh, and what did Miguel Cotto do to Zab? TKO11. NOW refer back to point 1.

    4. Miguel Cotto coming off a win against a solid Margarito and looking as impressive as he has against Mayweather - this is not a 'past it' Cotto. Cotto just didn't do well against Trout because Trout is a legit 154 and Cotto is a blown up welterweight who is neither a legit welterweight or a legit light middleweight.

LMM is a bigger, harder punching version of JMM mixed with Castillo. Floyd loses. AGAIN.

Need more time to rate Lucas. He's obviously not as skilled as Floyd, but not your typical, one dimensional chinny puncher. Yes he should be undefeated and has the makings of a future legend, but hasn't shown something that would stylistically could beat Floyd. If he focused more on body he could beat Floyd any other way he gets outboxed. Would love to see him vs Garcia to see how he deals with his power, Khan to deal with his speed, and Rios to deal with his chin. Lucas could pretty much unify 140 and wait for Broner or face Bradley 140 or 147. Or rematch Alexander and Judah. Sky's the limit for Matthysse.

Funny that a ***** should make this thread. Of course, it would be logical for Floyd to bring a 140 lber who's never fought at welter up to face him. That's right up his alley.

    :patsch No **** sherlock, really?

My point is, this is *****s acting like shitty fans per usual. Trying to discredit another fighter who's ACTUALLY fighting more than once a year by pitting him against a guy in a weightclass he's never fought in. All so we can keep Floyd relevant.

Oh no question. The hype machine is usually in full effect after a fighter KOs another one. I'm just saying I didn't see anyone actually mention Mayweather vs Matthysse before this thread was started.

According to Showtime, Lucas weighed 163 in the ring last night. Floyd usually weighs 151.

As a *******, you should avoid speaking about weight classes.
