Why is Rigondeaux ducking his mandatory Scott Quigg?

Discussion in 'World Boxing Forum' started by BobTheBuilder, Jan 27, 2013.

  1. His fans talk about Donaire ducking him- a fight Rigo has done nothing to deserve but he hasn't even mentioned his mandatory Scott Quigg. Is Rigo scared or something?

Huge props to Quigg if willing to challenge the champ anywhere, but where's the link?

Has the mando been ordered, or is Quigg calling him out? It's a huge step up from washed up Binman. Though I think I'd favor Quigg over all Rigo opponents, not a sure thing.

  8. Is a bigger step up for Rigondeaux.

Munroe has beaten Terrazas and Kiko Martinez

Rigo's best win was struggling to a disputed SD over Cordoba

Quigg's win over Rendall Munroe is as good as anything Rigondeux has done. Seriously, why are people giving Rigondeux a shot at Donaire? He might last the distance if he comes to survive but if he actually tries to win he'll get knocked the **** out.

I'd give Quigg more of a shot at beating Rigondeux than i would give Guillermo over Donaire, they're certainly more compareable in terms of what they've done in pro boxing.

  10. This.

so he can get in Donaire's ass ASAP

  12. Don't understand why he would want a fight where he has literally no chance to win.

It's not though, at his best Munroe was a solid contender, but nothing more, and was past prime. Cordoba, Marroquin, Ramos all beat that version of Munroe.
