Kovalev's a poet, he's a prophet, he's the resurrector, he's the savior of the boxing world. If it wasn't for him, the game would be dead.
He's had quite a few good looking wins. The guy is aggressive, has great balance & ring generalship, has extremely serious power in both hands, has great (not showy) footwork, excellent defensive head movement, and has basically no defensive flaws. So what's not to love?
Kovalev is the hero Boxing deserves, but not the one it needs right now. So we'll hunt him. Because he can take it. Because he's not our hero. He's a silent guardian, a watchful protector. A dark knight.
Personally I dont think hes as good as many are claiming but hes def world class and hes def a threat to anyone at 175 and below (including ward), and whether thats as good as some think he is or not, thats pretty damn good enough
