Nothing like reading youtube comments to see an amazing level of stupid. Makes the dumbest ESB comments sound brilliant.

if there was soccer kicks in UFC wrestlers would actually fear missing a take down. right now they don't really have to since they tend not to take down superior ground fighters.

Then ground fighting would start straying away. If you look at the Champions in Pride, almost all of them came from a background of kickboxing or some other type of "striking" art.

Wrestlers have a big advantage though with pride rules in that they can knee downed opponents. It makes GNP a lot more practical check out some of Coleman's or kerrs early fights

Fedor and nog were grapplers. Also the Gracie's, sakuraba etc

    Plenty of both.

Brutality, and it's going to slow the growth if this sport worldwide. If some here think The UFC gives a bad image wait for the backlash after incorporating kicks and stops. Personally I'm not a fan as there is no skill or technique involved in kicking a downed opponent.

i say you shouldnt punch a downed attacker. You kick him, it's easier. At least that was what I was taught in Combat Ju-Jit-Su (not this BJJ lol)

:deal i dont care much for displays of unbridled violence i care more about seeing combatants overwhelm their opponents with skillfully applied technique. not just punting for the goalposts and hoping one lands
