How often to train for a fight.

    wats the least amount of time to train for a fight?

    i have my second fight in 2 weeks and i have been training the the gym 4 times a week, only thing is i havent done any sprints really just been so tired with training and work.

    also have missed training tonight to spend time with my girl.so will be only training 3 times this week whilst sparing once. is that to littlle 3 times a weeek?

    You can't put a time on something like that. Train when you can, boxing isn't your life.

    ehhhh but than maybe he shouldnt fight if cant do a bit more

    course i can fight just is 3sessions a week enough the question is

    When I'm training for a fight. I'd be at the boxing gym 4-5x a week.
    Run about 4-5x a week as well. If I'm not running, I'm doing weights.

    You'll know based on your skills in sparring, conditioning, etc.

    It's not how many sessions you have but how well you train. You could only train twice a week if it was intense enough and structured well to enhance your skills.

    ehhh.....most would recommend at least two days...if your only doing 2 days you are leaving too many days off...also, from a conditioning stand point, I have seen charts that show what a huge difference that third day makes.

    You've seen a chart? Wow, you must know the truth for everybody then. As part of a well periodised plan with some solid base work, then intense training twice a week is sufficient to maintain all the markers of fitness.

    Yeah. I suppose if he doesn't get his 5 hours, 43 minutes and 16 seconds of training each week he'll never be a champion.
