Sorry but Matthyse was a disgrace tonight. Which other JR WW comes in @ 164? Come on!

Lucas can't be compared to Chavez Jr. Because he has not been caught using diuretics. I have criticized Chavez Jr. As being unprofessional, but it wasn't for the insane amount of pounds he has put on after the weigh-in, but because of his camps use of diuretics and shady anti-doping testing. Not to mention other antics.

There has also been comparisons to the Gatti vs Gamache fight where Arturo Gatti put on some 20 lbs or more and brutalized Gamache, sending him into retirement. But we have to note that Gatti didn't make the contract weight. Lucas did make weight. I think Gatti was only 1 lb. over but still, you have to note that he didn't make weight.

Once I see proof that Lucas Mattysse used Diuretics or some other banned substance to cheat the scales or is not not making the contract weight during the official weight in. I will not be referring to as a disgrace or a cheat. Till then Deal with it!

  4. He played by the same rules Dallas Jr. played by. Quit crying so much. Until boxing changes to same day weigh-ins, fighters will continually make weight when they need to and then rehydrate. Floyd does it too, he just doesn't let HBO weigh him on fight night. Chavez Jr. is one of the worst offenders, coming in well over 180 in his middleweight fights. Get over it or petition the powers that be.

He wasn't weighed, but he I read an article stating he was 150 or 151.

Floyd to me personally hasn't looked any different in size in his 4 last fights.

I think 90 percent of the time he does come in like you said 150-151 lbs but i do know he doesn't let anyone weigh him the day of the fight so who knows really

Well you can just look at him. He doesn't look any different from his last 4 fights.

I think since Marquez. He's been 150/151 in all of his fights. If not less.

Isn't he unofficially lighter than Pac now?

I have to agree with you. it may be legal, but it's still a cowardish move in my opinion. especially at such a low weight class. It's also a disservice to mattysee, who i think is a great fighter. but if he start pulling that regularly, i will also lose respect for him.
that said, he didn't seem to be much bigger than his opponent who came in at 153 so it is interesting.
