A lot of people sensed this was a bogus offer and nothing more than a press grab for the weak minded. It worked too. :-(

If Donaire doesn't stay off the twitter bitching (or if you guys don't stop posting it) I'm gonna be a hater sooner rather than later.

That isn't donaire's call, would that greedy Arum let Hoya promote this fight instead of him and all the ppv revenues going to Hoya while Arum just sits tight and gets 1m. Whoever promotes this fight gets to be the winner of the deal, hoya could put this under a floyd undercard and their would be more to be gain.

    Wrong, pacturd.

Montiel does hit harder than Mares. That's about it. Mares is far more skilled.

Schaefer probably just wanted Donaire to agree to the number figure and then they negotiate the rest. He doesn't want to waste his time writing out all the information for him to go turn it down.
He sent he letter over to get him to agree to leave Arum for one fight for 3 million and then the rest woulod start from there

So Rigo/Mares aren't the best in the division?

Mares has better footwork, throws better combinations, has better head and upper body movement, is more versatile, and has more adaptability than Montiel...and im a huge fan of Kochul, my friend. So no, Montiel is NOT more skilled than Mares, he just hits harder, that is all.

Mares has shown to be able to adjust to various styles, i think his best chance is to outbox Donaire, but it wont be easy thats for sure. And i agree that if he charges in like he did against Moreno, chances are he gets starched.
