Has anyone heard any news about the situation between
Vitali/Haye or Wlad/Povetkin? I have not heard anything lately.
I would like to see the Vitali/Haye fight happen this summer
if Vitali does fight on I think this fight should happen. As for
Povetkin, if he decides not to fight Wlad yet again, does he
lose the belt as this fight was mandated? Does anyone know
    the answer to that question?

    Peace :thumbsup

Rumours are that Wlad-Povetkin will happen in the summer with them most likely fighting other opponents between now and then. The Vitali-Haye situation is very quiet at the moment.

If vitali retires without fighting haye it will look like a duck and vitali will have missed his last chance to put a semi decent name on resume of which there really isn't any apart from sanders

    Who's in your avi?

He looks like Sprott, but has Darnel on his shorts?

Coming from another sport - I really do find the matchmaking "discretion" in boxing to be absurd.

    Get these fights on!

The negotiations for Vitali vs Haye will enter the 3rd year. Let's face it, none of the camps really want it.

Vitali could face Fury, a good option, if the wants to continue, but I hope he retires because he is just not doing anything decent anymore. Just check his last 6 fights:
Sosnowsky, shot Briggs, fat Solis, Adamek, Chisora, Charr

How much does the outcome of Arreola/Stiverne factor into the equation?

Good question. I wonder if it matters who wins.

Stiverne is with King. If Vitali retired and opened the way for Stiverne to take the WBC, I reckon Stiverne's first defence would be Haye. All in all a total head**** for Wlad trying to unify.

IMO the best fight for Arreola if he beats Stiverne then Vitali retires to open up the WBC title for him, is to fight an easy defence with a rematch clause mid 2013 then cash in with an end of 2013 unification with Wlad at MSG.

If Stiverne wins surely Vitali would want to stay around to take him out of the equation.
