Armstrong is not credible here. He's a complex figure because his charity has helped greatly, though.

He is the perfect anti-hero for our "ends justify the means" mentality, but we don't believe anything he says.

 Ask anyone in America and hardly anyone knows any of the boxers you mentioned besides RJJ and Holyfield. They only know Holyfield for his ear being bitten by Mike Tyson and occasionally you might get some people who know who Mosley is. Besides Tom Brady and the Patriots cheating with their superbowl wins, cheaters are shunned here in America. Barry bonds is a disgrace and is hated everywhere, Mark Mcguire has been practically crucified and unheard of since he's been exposed, Lance Armstrong is hated more than anyone I know of, and Carl Lewis or any of those other Olympic athletes that the OP said haven't even been caught, not sure where he's getting his information. But understand that America is filled with so many winners, that after a while a new superstar comes along and nobody cares anymore.

Good question. May have to due with more to gain in America so people who fight or come to fight here are tempted to cheat more.

Wach has been living and training out of the US for a couple years now.

With that being said i am convinced MOST top athletes are on PED's these days. Mosley,Bonds,McGuire Armstrong..etc never actaully failed a test. It started through the rumour mill and turned out to be true in the above cases. Just because they are not being caught does not mean they arent on it. The people who create PED's are always one or two steps ahead of the people who test for them.

And Larry Olubamiwo. Also heard plenty of rumors about Hatton and fighters from Enzo Calzaghe's stable too (including Joe Calzaghe himself), but of course everyone is innocent until proven otherwise:roll:

PEDs are an international problem. Sports culture in certain countries, mainly ex soviet bloc, had them ingrained into the system (some still do as evidenced by olympic scandals etc). Legalities are different from country to country as well, which also makes obtaining them easier in some countries outside of North America. It seems bigger in the US because, quite frankly, the biggest and most lucrative sports leagues on the planet are based there, and reaching the top level of sport, to secure a career, income, the ability to take care of people monetarily, and just plain ego causes a lot of athletes to go that route.....but it is not a strictly an american problem.

Yep. Really, if you look at the suspensions, most failing the policy are minor leaugers trying to get to the elite level, older guys trying to stay there, or run of the mill guys in MLB try to keep a job. Did anyone suspect Palmero? Eye test means little in most cases.

I often wonder how much ppl really know about the doping system? You seem to really hate Armstrong but he's a product of his generation. I can respect ppl who hate on him on a base level, but really yall don't know what's going on. Everyone in that era doped, everyone.

Before you go off the edge, you should consider that in that generation everyone doped, even those who thought they were clean! The systems that are now championing their cleanliness were once full of cheats.

So who really is at fault for the Armstrongs of today?
