The way I seen it, it was solid punch to kidney that levelled Tilyard. Ref Shipley was on the other side & all he could see Tilyard going down in absolute agony & naturally applied the count.
Tilyard won the 1st round, and IMO had he not tried to stop Slice asap, the result would've been different.

Fortunately for Kimbo, Shane moved slowly and put himself in a perfect position for Kimbo to deliver a rib shot.

    Shane was winning until then.

Didn't look like a rib shot to me. Maybe someone (subscriber) can have a closer look at it tomorrow?

Should've been a knockdown. Perhaps 9-8 Tilyard. Took some hard hits he is a tough fella.

Unlucky for Shane that it occurred to Kimbo to go downstairs.

If they kept chinning each other through attrition, Shane would've almost certainly gotten him.

Definitely a kidney punch. Slice was gone in the first but Tilyard just ran out of puff. Tilyard had him in the second until the kidney punch

If it had of remained a headshot war Tilyard was at least an even money chance. It's a pity Tilyard didn't go in a bit better prepared. Lighter and with a bit more endurance he may have been able to hit Kimbo more often when he had the opportunity to finish him. Still, Tilyard didn't die wondering and was never going to.

UFC veteran Rampage Jackson is making a bit of noise about wanting to fight Kimbo under boxing rules. In the article I read they aptly referred to the possible bout as "circus like"
