In a fight mundine couldn't win, I felt he looked better as it went on. Not disgraced at all. A few dirty tactics but he was outclassed. Great defensive display.
Wow, Mundine is the MAN. He's telling us that surviving is the new winning, so he won. We'll have to update his record accordingly.
Me too, Mundine's best round was round 4 and that was a draw at best for him. He looked like **** tonight, Geale absolutely clowned him.
Phone ran out of batt halfway through was a bit surprised. Thought the Ammann/Aloua was a good warm up for a main event. The more seasoned fighter grinding out and showing his experience against a young hungry fighter. Aloua seemed dangerous until around the 8th when he looked far too gassed to capitalise on any success he had. Kimbo fight seemed a bit odd. Mundine/Geale can be summed up in my mate who came along to watch asking "is he usually that stiff and slow?". Reasonably enjoyable for a one sided fight until around the 8th or so then it was just waiting out the clock. Surprised Geale had such good odds on him I wish I'd had more money on it after a few I knew that it was going to be Geale dec.
Haha yeah, well I dunno... This is the result I wanted, I was gunning for Geale but I swear I had it close hey. Dunno, just thought Geale was pitter pattering and Choc was dictating. You know, I am putting it down to the fact if Geale is gonna dance with the best in the division he should have done a better job than I was seeing. It looked a lot like the last fight for me, close and tough to call. Just want to repeat, I did not want Mundine to win - it'd be the death of Aussie boxing as we know it. Another thing I didn't consider I guess is the challenger needs to take the title from the Champ and that didn't happen in any way. I also think people are taking the Mundine hate and Geale love into their score cards. Happy to be alone in this one. Wish I cared enough to rewatch the fight and figure out what I was watching
