This is the third or fourth "eliminator" he's been offered without getting any confirmation that he would actually get to fight Canelo if he won.

Vanes doesn't look good here, but it is impossible to respect the WBC or expect people to trust their word.

What the **** are you talking about Vanes suffred a nasty cut, that alone takes about 90 days to fully heal, the Lara fight took place November 10th Vanes would not be able to start sparring until the cuts healed so lets do the math.

Feb 10th is when he can begine sparring that gives him less than a week to spar before he leaves camp to venture out to the location of the bout and your not going to spar the week of the fight.

So explain to me how this makes Vanes look bad here? this makes the WBC look bad they know that he had a cut they know how long cuts take to heal and what it takes to compete on this level.

The WBC is simply trying to get Lara an easy match against an un prepared Vanes, so that Canelo can make an easy mandatory defense, Sorry but Lara is an easier fight for Canelo than is Vanes and its not like the WBC does not have a habit of helping out fighters based out of mexico.
