i thought his timing looked horrible to begin with. he looked old and couldnt pull the trigger. he warmed up a little but i dont think hes got too much left in the tank.

I noticed Danny Green has stuck the boot in already saying the diggers would've been happy Mundine didn't get a chance to turn his back on the anthem.

He also said he was shot....... Green was never going to acknowledge Geale's performance

Green v Mundine within 12 months at LHW :deal

Both blokes looked in remarkable nick prior to the fight , Anthony Mundine and his fans should just except that Father Time waits for no man , I had the fight 120-108 on my scorecard ( yes I actually sat down watching it with a pen and paper ) round four was the only round I marked a question mark against as when I score fights that's my indication of a less than crystal clear round , I scored it to Geale as I thought he was the busier fighter who was looking to take the fight to Mundine , the rest I had Geale as a clear cut winner . Great performance from Mundine when you consider his age and lack of quality opponents in recent years but Geale proved to be the more battle hardened of the two and the level he has been fighting at recently made him the clear winner in every aspect of this bout .

Mundine has chance back in the day and now is the end for him.. surely he can fight green and few more guys but given his movement or lets say lack of movement and also just the fact that he is not sitting on his punches , he wont win any more belts...

I totally agree that the 2003-2006 version of mundine beats geale but not anymore

Green V Mundine 2 would end with Green being charged with Manslaughter.

Agreed but if Geale had the balls to move up to 168 against a prime Mundine he would've got starched :deal

Totally agree with that mate , @ 168lbs Mundine was able to compete , in the Ottke fight he was too inexperienced v a decent boxing tech , and in the Kessler fight he just got out boxed by the better fighter , the Danny Green fight was probably the best i ever saw Mundine fight and he beat the guy hands down , if he would have stayed there and re matched kessler win lose or draw his legacy today would be ten fold of what it appears to be now by the look at some of the comments on this board , lets be honest here he ducked out of 168lbs when the kessler re match was ordered and did the same to Geale when the IBO ordered a re match @ middle , imo the bloke ruined himself dropping weights with this "pioneer" stuff and it showed in the fights leading up to yesterdays , IF Choc Mundine calls it quits after this fight his legacy will be viewed far differently than if he had stayed and fought it out @ said 168lbs . and if he does retire then all i can say is enjoy your retirement and thanks for the fights .

Why do you feel the need for a career middle weight to move up to S/Middle in his prime to prove himself ? Mundines chose to fight at middle weight . we had this with Joe Calzaghe , he eventually proved himself the best in his specific weight division and i fully expect Geale to show similar ambition in doing so at his best weight .
