Why was there a huge wait before the scores were read out? Why was Geale's corner telling him that he needed the last round? Why was Geale's corner imploring him to throw punches as walked forward? Why was the commentary abysmal? Why did numerous people have the fight to Choc or were unsure of the result? (as mentioned in other threads) Why would Mundine's corner tell him he would be champion in a few minutes whilst Geale's corner were worried? :huh:huh:huh:huh
Why do you ask tooo many questions you wonder why no one has replied couldn't be ****ed reading it.:bart
SBW, that boxer that posts on here had it for choc - A lot more credible than the know nothings on here...Geale's corner didn't seem confident he had it. Scoring fights from the commentary is lame, it is clearly what you did.
:-( Crusher? He already admitted he was high on turps and needs to re-watch. How so? By telling him he needs to win the last round? You do realise that's common strategy for a corner, you don't tell your fighter that he's winning. What about the 3 ringside judges?
Russell Crowe. You say don't do anything stupid, you say box at range, you don't say we NEED the round as that encourages recklessness.
You don't get your fighter to give it his all in the last round if you're on your way to a shutout, you just don't.
They were hoping to get the KO, so maybe that's why they gave him that advice? They could clearly see that Mandy wasn't able to hurt Geale, so I guess they thought the risk was low, so go for it. I don't know. Without knowing what the team were thinking, we can only speculate. It doesn't really matter, there was no doubt who won the fight.
im working with a chick today who just asked me what i thought of the fight and was mundine robbed? she watched it in a pub with a load of guy mates who thought mundine got robbed....i told her never to introduce me to them
