I've said from the beginning I didn't really believe GBP seriously wanted to put Mares in with Donaire. Mares is at the weight for one year, two fights, and already says he has trouble making weight? Bottom line, Mares was offered $1 mill. He turned it down. He made his choice not to fight for a career high. Doesn't sound like he wanted it that bad to me. Want to do a bet that he won't get that much in his next fight?

I am not Reppin501. I have not made any of these claims you're talking about. I'm asking you the same questions. You going to answer them? I've even copied them down and took the quotes off so it looks like it's coming straight from me, since you don't want to answer him.

 

Yahoo pieces are clearly labeled commentary and from some guy that runs a boxing site I never heard of. I have seen nothing on ESPN, nor did you give a link. Your statement can only be backed up by having a source say they had their lawyers look at it. I don't care what guys like Fat Dan say unless it comes through the lawyers on this point. Look at your original statement. Journalist rantings don't count, especially when they are marked as commentary.

 

Didn't Donaire say he was going to move to 126 anyway? Then again now that Mares is there we might suddenly hear ND change his tune by staying at 122. I'm ok with him not fighting Mares for now but ND definitely needs to step up with competition. It's gotta be: John, Gamboa, Rigo, M. Garcia, I'm missing a few others but...any of these guys are good selections.
