It took one fight for Mayweather to dominate Marquez. After a series of lucky decisions, Pacman ended up being KOed in the final bout.

You know a boxer is good when an average scorecard of 9 rounds won to 3 lost is considered a "competitive" match.

Prime Cotto did not have the technical brillance as he did post Margo. Cotto moves better and throws better counters. Prime Cotto was plague with poor conditioning and often fades after 8. Now of course how much did Margo's beating took out of Cotto, we do not know.

Cotto Style and being able to box and feint imo is the the biggest problem he gave for Floyd. Floyd had a hard time trapping Cotto.

Cotto did himself and his fans proud that night. He put it all on the line.

Cotto was smart enough to not go ballistic when Mayweather was on the ropes and to make a few adjustments. Tactically, Mayweather/Cotto was great to watch.

Every great champion has one last great performance before it is all over. Mosley had Margarito, Cotto had Mayweather.

The rounds were competitive, even if Mayweather was deservedly taking most of them on the cards. Cotto gave Mayweather more trouble on a consistent basis than anyone else has done in a while; and it speaks well of Mayweather than he was able to bank so many rounds against a determined and well schooled opponent.

Agreed on all counts. People wanted to see how Mayweather would respond if he was in a "real fight" and he did well.

Boxing's scoring system isn't a good way of judging the competitiveness of a bout. I've scored some damn good fights widely.

Already tell OP dksab. Floyd fought Cotto's fight for 11 and a half rounds. Watch 2 the 2nd half of round 12 and know that's how Floyd usually fights and watch just how his dominance exponentially rises. This come forward Floyd throwing more punches isn't Floyd's normal style buddy. Go learn more about Floyd son. Shitty analysts these days. Smh
