Why am i butthurt for? I couldn't care less that it was JMM who KO him. It sucks that the super-fight won't ever happen, but Manny and his camp had no reason to took that fight at all. Floyd himself said he doesn't give a **** about his legacy. Great win for JMM and congrats to his fans, but if it makes you feel any better, I'm sure that Floyd is a bit bitter that it wasn't him who KO Manny.

Based on what? Let me guess. He'd KO Floyd as soon as he land a straight left hand.

What you pac fan forget is Floyd is stronger then Marquez both in upper body and lower. Pac won't be able to walk in on floyd and do his thing, Floyd is a much better inside fighter then pac. Pac only chance is from the out, even then he has to deal with floyd speed and longer reach which he know how to use. Inside I see floyd bodying Pac off and getting off combo's and digging his chest out with upper cuts.

Again Pac does not know how to fight inside he needs distance on the outside floyd not going to give it too him..

Pac gives up to many opening for a counter-puncher like Floyd...just too many. Floyd is very calculated and has a very comfortable reach advantage...Floyd will smother Pac with holds and pot shots tire him down and frustrate him because an exchange of punches and opportunites for pac to unleash his offensive talent just wont be there making Pac even more wreckless and he will get countered with something brutal to end the fight....not like JMM fashion but will end the fight.

The one thing i always worry about with this fight though...is that EARLY Floyd is very vulnerable...its the best chance for pac to land something briliant...the longer the fight i think the more it favors Floyd.

hi bogo what do you think of what roach said way back in 2009/10 about manny attempting "educated" pressure if he were to fight Floyd? You can correct me if I'm wrong, but it seems your technical summary advises manny to use an in-n-out ambush approach over pressure

What's good man...in my opinion, what I call "perpetual motion Pac" has the best chance against Floyd. The way he was moving against Marquez was very impressive. His upper body movement and offense off of angles was superb. I think smart pressure and in-and-out don't have to be mutually exclusive. Feints while advancing provide pressure, and taking a back-step after throwing a combination and restarting defines the in-and-out dynamic. Floyd will probably adjust by moving rightwards (since his weight is usually on the backfoot) and catching lefts on his shoulder and landing rights over the top, like with Ortiz, or taking a step left to land check hooks, but those moves are riskier than changing levels and pivoting leftward consistently. I think Manny's right jab-hook (not a regular hook but that upwards hybrid Roach taught him and Khan) is a good way to split Floyd's guard. What do you think?

Are you talking about Floyd's guard as in his high guard or shoulder roll? Corley tried to 3 off the 1 against Floyd, but Floyd backed off making the 1 miss then bent rightwards making the upward 3 miss.

Floyd has this technique where he'll raise his left elbow upon the right making contact with his left arm to adjust the right's trajectory. This move either outright protects him from the right or takes most of the steam off since it detracts off its original path.

I haven't seen the southpaw hook to much effect against Floyd outside of that time Judah knocked him down with it.

If manny was able to feint Floyd to the ropes, I wonder what manny would have done. He doesn't have the patience and discipline to turn down Floyd's invitation. When he had Cotto on the ropes he went wild like a dancing ******. Luckily, Cotto is no expert at boxing against the ropes.

Had they fought I would have expected manny to be able to land no more than five lefts before Floyd wises up to it.
