    You are a child Virus...

if you do the type of training that causes hypertrophy will you get stronger than if you do nothing? sure you will. Body builders are after all stronger than your average guy who does no training. But is it the best way to gain strength? no...is it what guys in strength sports shot for...no. now

Now if you are a boxer..and you fight at 147...should you be doing bodybuilder type workouts...**** no..why..it could give you problems gaining weight (of course Dealt says you wont actually gain enough weight to matter...so why than do body builders do it too get bigger?) its a waste of time and counter productive.

also, everything that I have ever seen says that muscles use oxygen..if you make a muscle bigger, its going to use more oxygen..if it doesnt actually get much stronger..you are shooting yourself in the foot in a sport that is both anerobic as well as aerobic.

I'm a child because you lack knowledge?

What you said was incorrect. I told you you're incorrect. How does that make me a child exactly?

Hypertrophy training does not have to be the classic 3x10, you can get substantial hypertrophy lifting heavy weight for high sets. 10x3 for example.

Why does this even matter anyway? Lifting weights doesn't make you gain weight. Muscle building is irrelevant to boxing.

    You are pretty stupid, Virus.

    Hopefully, you wise up.

You will one day, and I hope you recover fully.

But, I will say, you are a real piece of ****.

    LOL.

Why you say that? Cuz of that crossfit comment I made?

You're not a dummy are you?

Are you doing kippin pull ups?

No, right? So, why the **** you worried about it?

Look at the crossfit injury board. So many damn injuries that there is like thousand pages of posts.

SLAP tears seem to happen when people are doing kipping pull ups.

Look man, you may not be there yet, but you better Thank God every day for your health.

You know as well as I do that deep down, you KNOW bodyweight is the way to go, but you got an ego that tells you otherwise.

But the reality is, you can go full bodyweight, and the strenght loss for particular external weightliftin motions is negligable at best.

So why not just **** with bodyweight?

    **** weight training.

Unless you are a freak and can just bust out one are pull ups like they ain't ****.

You're right. We all agree with you.

  14. Johnstown reminds me of him, giving out flawed advice, getting into debates when people call him out on it etc

Because virus is the best expert we have here. Years of research and results disagree with your advice. Faulty mechanics and lack of warm up/cool down is what causes injury, not the weightlifting itself if done correctly.

Yes, I do kip and quite well. I also did.strict pullups for years prior so I.am strong enough to prevent slap tears.
