Had it 3-2 Aldo. Edgar outworked Aldo in the last two, imo, but couldn't quite get out out of the hole Aldo dug for him in the first three. Really good fight, as expected. Would like to see these guys again, just for the aesthetic value of watching two guys display decent boxing skill and good movement in the Octogon.
Had it 3-2 Aldo but am open to 4-1 Aldo. I think he should have kept on with those low kicks despite the the takedowns by Edgar the last couple attempts. They were clearly affecting him, and Aldo seemed to have no issue getting up after being taken down. Edgar just seems to be a tough puzzle to solve for anyone he faces. I didn't think his movement would alter Aldo's approach as much as it did. If only Edgar had more power in his attacks. Overeem was clearly far too confident against Bigfoot, and he paid for it. Honestly, he didn't look good at all. He was far too tentative with all of his offense, and Bigfoot was able to overwhelm him in the third by throwing caution to the wind. I am a fan of Overeem, but I felt good for Bigfoot seeing him get that win. Anyone with the arrogance of Overeem deserves to be knocked down a peg or two. Maia "Fitched" the **** out of Fitch and solidified himself as a real contender at 170. Very curious as to what he does next. Nobody can hang with him on the ground, and he seems to be committed to taking his fights there at 170, despite being comfortable striking with guys at 185. I guess he realized that working with his bread and butter is much smarter. What can I say about the Rashad fight? It ****ing sucked ass. Happy for Lil Nog, but I will never watch that fight again. One of the worst I have seen in a while. Don't really remember much of the Benavidez fight, but he deserved the win, despite the absurd amount of low blows. Decent fight.
Good fight but Aldo is a solid notch above Frankie. Hate to see Frankie act like he was robbed... he clearly lost that fight
He dropped him with a punch in the second and had a takedown. Overall Aldo was very inactive, even when he was winnning.
2-2, with the third being close. I gave it to Frankie. Anybody insulting anyone for picking either Aldo or Frankie winning is a ****ing ******, it's conceivable for either to win, they were 1 round apart. Stop being so bitter and hating on a guy because he's in close ****ing fights. You should all be pissed off at the 49-46 scoring, not at eachother for whoever you thought won. But nope, anyone who thought Edgar won is a ******. Yeah okay.
