Oh for **** sake. Yes, turn off the sound, slow it down, watch it on zoom in, with no alcohol in your system and following a relaxing piano session. Just watch the ****ing fight as it is and have a clear mind. I don't need to mute my TV to decide who won a goddamn fight.
4-1, 3-2, or 2-2-1. Aldo landed the harder shots in damn near every round, even when Edgar outworked him. The only reason the fight was competitive was Aldo's bad cardio. Edgar couldn't do **** for the first two and a half rounds while Aldo was still fresh.
If you watch a lot of boxing or many of frankies fights, you would know that some people (especially white boys) have weaker tissue that busts up WAY easier than others. Its genetics. Which should be kept in mind when you are scoring a round or fight based on damage. Frankie's face looks like that every fight after three jabs.
and Rogan's damned cheerleading. he was doing it in the Evans fight too, trashing Nog for not doing anything, while it was ****ING NOG who was landing all the clean strikes atschatsch
How I saw Edgar's "controversial" fights: Penn I - Edgar Maynard II - Draw Bendo I - Bendo Bendo II - Edgar Aldo - Aldo
Maybe now Overeem will put his hands up, and actually try to learn some real boxing technique. That hands down, bulldoze in to get the clinch **** will keep getting him KO'd now that the blue print has been laid by Silva. He is a big strong ass mother ****er. He should be using his hands to set up his other ****. Instead of eating punches with his face, and then having no defensive instinct what so ever. Was it just me, or was Herb Dean very liberal with the number of shots he let Overeem take before he waved it off. He was the opposite of the old Herb Dean, who would have stopped it after the first punch landed.
Post fight press conference about to begin... I'm thinking Overreem is a no show http://www.ufc.com/media/156-post-pc
A competitive fight doesn't have to be a close fight. Frankie kept the fight competitive, but it wasn't particularly close. The fights with Bendo were close. The 2nd Maynard fight was close. This fight was competitive, but there was still a clear winner.
This post will make me look really bad, but what the hell. Penn I - Edgar Maynard II - Edgar Bendo I - Edgar Bendo II - Edgar Aldo - Edgar I could conceive of him losing all of the fights but Bendo II and Maynard II, I can understand a draw in Maynard II. I need to rewatch the Bendo fight. A lot of people thought Bendo won, and I do remember finishing that fight thinking Frankie may have lost it even though I scored it to him. Or I might have had it a draw, I don't recall, but I just know I didn't think Bendo won it. I'll rewatch it with a clear mind instead of rooting for Frankie live during the fight. The rest I'm positive of how I scored it and had winning.
