    No, I totally agree. Win, lose or draw, I've become quite a fan of Edgar. But change all those loses to wins and his resume goes from being awesome to being epically record breaking.

    :lol::lol::lol:

    Then you'd be wrong it was a takedown.

    This this this

    I can't believe anyone had that for Frankie it was a close but clear fight. The first 3 rounds for Aldo, Edgar the 4th and the 5th was a toss up I scored it a draw. 49-47 Aldo. Really can't see how anyone gave Frankie more than 2 rounds all the good clean work came from Aldo. I'm a frankie fan but Aldo is just a beast, wish he hadn't given up on the leg kicks considering how little Frankies takedowns were having on him.

    BTW, Aldo's corner telling him that he is up 4-0 going into the fifth was ****ing dumb.

    Aldo's bad cardio could be his achilles heal against a talented, taller, rangier, guy like Pettis.

    Still. It may not have had an impact, but they were talking to him like he was for sure winning a blowout. In MMA, you can't afford to drop any rounds, and coasting through the fifth could have proven disastrous.

    True Rob, but not when you are honestly 3-0 up going in to the 4th...And Aldo didnt coast, he hung tough. Even if Frankie won the 5th on pace, Jose wasnt too far behind...

    Edgars hands are made of marshmellows. His best hit was the takedown in Round 4.

    Aldo had super clean shots and kicks throughout, apart from Round 4.

    In round 5 Edgar was stagnant, he should've beat Aldo in that last round but Aldo had the last laugh with that Superman punch off the cage.

    Just because Edgar doesn't slowdown doesn't mean he won, Aldo's 1st and 2nd round was an ass whooping.

    I am of the opinion that he needs to either move up in weight, or get a new conditioning coach. I saw him gas in the Hominick fight, and I also thought he gassed against Florian. It seems to happen the same way every time. Aldo is crisp for about the first two rounds. He is usually sucking wind by the end of the second. His fatigue starts to make him less sharp around the middle of round three. After that his effectiveness and accuracy drops noticeably, as does the steam on his shots, and his punch defense, he becomes more hit-able. So far nobody has been able to take advantage of it.

    With that gas tank, I think Pettis is a bad style match up for Aldo. Pettis doesn't see an Aldo that gasses after the second round beating him. That is why he is eager to move down to 145. If I was Aldo, I would move up before I fought him.
