The name should be at the top, slightly larger or a different shade, then 'knock out academy' from 9o'clock to 3o'clock, counter-clockwise.

I like this one. :thumbsup Except you let down the "Knock Out" which is part of the gym's name if I'm not mistaken.

 

I forgot. Can be fix, when I got a little more time on my hands.

 

Needs boxing gloves.

Can I give some constructive criticism without being shot down?

There is a real danger of that logo being associated with the cowardly lion of the Wizard of Oz, especially with the hands up there like that "Put 'em up".

Also the typeface, which looks like a derivative of City BQ shouldn't have mixed caps on a circular path and needs special attention to the kerning/letter spacing. Look at the bottom path to see the letters colliding. Probably also has a too higher 'mass' for that kind of logotype.

You could lose the black circle around the logo completely and drop the text down below the lion motif to make it look more elegant.

I did the text wrapped around am elliptical shape, when going below the shape he was upside down so I flipped it and played with it a bit with ctrl + t. I'm a self thought photoshopper so not quite as good as you. The font was Freshman.

 

Just add the lettering around it and finito.
