Yeah, those were two clear Aldo rounds. I gave Edgar one clear round, that was the fourth. I leaned toward Aldo in the 3rd, and 5th because he landed the harder punches. Edgar just doesn't seem to be able to crack and egg most of the time. His opponents faces don't seem to be bothered by his punches at all.
Aldo probably gases because he is a bored champion who isn't getting as much training in as he should. He admitted post speech that he loses interest and needs his team to pull him back into line
Because some marketing cu*t in the UFC thought it was a good idea to give him the nickname Sugar. He's about as sweet as poison. The guy is horribly overrated and about as exciting as 10 Tyron Woodleys.
Its not. Too much is made of Nogs boxing. Despite him representing his country his boxing is distinctly average. Remember this is a guy who got creamed by Sokodjou in PRIDE.
Overeem controlled the start of the fight. Didn't land a whole lot, a few knees from the clinch against the cage were probably the best strikes landed. Bigfoot looked very slow by comparison. Overeem did well in the second round as well. Landed a nice takedown from the clinch, some decent ground and pound. Silva looked a bit lost on his back. Third round this happened:
Disappointed that Aldo didn't hurt Edgar the way Maynard did. I wanted to see if Edgar could survive an Aldo onslaught when hurt badly. Aldo proved he's still the man to beat in his division but he's not beating any of the top guys at lightweight. I think Pettis would destroy him. Korean Zombie next for Aldo?
edgar clearly lost 4 rds, rogan is a muppet sucking on edgars every move and strike it was ridiculous he was basically saying it was 2 rds a piece and the 3rd could of gone either way, he was shite during the evans nog fight too glad edgar got beat AGAIN
Rashad is garbage, never liked that dude. Just has the worst fighting chemistry I've seen, sitting far back looking busy bit doing much
