Uber has a lightheavyweight chin, and barely at that, fighting at heavyweight. Six pack in his stomach, not a 6 pack in his chin :nono
Because he as bad stamina and a bad chin, he physically cant handle it, its not that he chooses not to fight back, just look at when he got caught, his hands were down he was out of it and took a few hard flush shots to the head, he didnt curl up in a ball and wait for the ref to stop it, he just doesnt physically respond once hes been caught with a good shot. Bad chin and bad stamina yes, but I think its unfair to suggest a lack of heart. Someone like Victor Ortiz who askd the ref to stop a fight or just shakes his head when hes getting beat up has no heart.
Slightly off-topic but with Overeem's talent the outcome was so unnecessary. He could've easily pizza faced this guy to death had he prepared with some proper trainers.
I never thought he had one dating back to pride, he was KOed by 205 pound fighter. Chin stays the same no matter how big you get. He just never gave them a chance to hit him. But Bigfoot found room and landed some HUGE shots.
Just before Kharitonov knocked him out, Overroid turned his back ran away, Kharitonov chased him down and knocked him out through the ropes.
His gas tank was comparatively good last night. Yeah he was gassing, but it is usually worse than that.
Some of you people are amazing... "He got punched in the face full force by a monster of a man who was more then 265 pounds multiple times and lost consciousness maybe after the 8th hit or more square on the face. Glass chin?" Seriously... were some of you dropped on your head when you were babies? Seriously?
Are you arguing that he takes a great shot? I'm just trying to figure out why you are posting in this thread.
You don't see the stupidity in people saying "glass chin" with respect to someone getting hit multiple times in the face by a man the size of Silva and retaining consciousness and only losing it after at least 8 solid strikes to the face/chin? Really? You're having difficulty? Pretty much anyone who gets KO'd seemingly has a glass chin according to the logic of some posters here.
Overeem just isn't that good. He doesn't have great punch resistance... he doesn't have good stamina, and he doesn't have very good technique at anything. He is lazy and exposed on his feet, and he isn't anything special on the ground. Just a physically gifted guy who can't get it done when he fights the best.
