Why are people picking Wlad and Floyd? Cmon they aren't very next gen. Maybe in '99, yes.

For instance, I wanted to go with Martinez but he's been around awhile.

It says "OK boys, favourite current boxers?"; Lil Floyd is an obvious pick...

Yeah but I said "next gen atgs" in the subject.

Wlad and Floyd are pretty much solidified as such, and are not really next-gen. Guys with 40-60 fights aren't really next-generation.

I think the OP is speaking of the next generation since there is beginning to be a generation shift as most of the ATG's of this generation will retire soon.

Neither of them are 'Great' at the moment, let alone 'all-time Great' (who is?). But both are arguably two of finest fighters of this time. The next generation by definition have not turned pro yet.

I guess what you mean is fighters with potential, that one day they maybe great. And preferably of a generation that turned pro maybe 5/6 years ago or later...;)

I don“t like Broner, I think Russel Jr has more potential to be an ATG in the future than Broner.

Moreno, Morel, Agbeko, Darchinyan. No one thought Mares was beating Moreno.

I meean if you're a Ward fan, Ward has Kess, Dawson, Froch, Abraham

I am more a fan of Moreno than Mares  Just wondering what makes you rate Ward more than Mares? both beat P4P fighters, both arent very pretty. Both have help from refs apparently.

That's a damned good post, BE :bbb

I felt the Darch/Mares fight was about the same scoring of the Ward/Bika fight. Ward has beaten the better names no doubt as this stage, and I don't call either a future ATG right now, FYI.

I guess being the canuck I hold the duck of Bute against Ward a bit- than Mares who is fighting ****ing every body and doing just as well at whatever weight.

people say the 3 mill for Donaire is a duck by Mares....REALLY!?! What was Dre offering anyone who was that dangerous at the peak of their powers? and they both are the best they've been, and Mares just upset P4P Moreno
