I hope not, I think JMM is great but I think Floyd would school him again in a rematch.

I'd like to see this. As would I'm sure the huge numbers of people on here who seem to think Floyds win over Juan doesn't count.

    Meh Marquez should just retire...

Amount of work he has to put into training to be the best he can is silly.. Don't know how any fight excluding one with Pacquiao could motivate him to train.

Don't forget about Top Rank Vs. Golden Boy.
    Yup... Not going to happen.

Arum will put Marquez thru the Rios/Alvarado/gauntlet IF he won't fight Pac again.
Bobby will then let Timmy out of his "Gimp" cage and force a Pac fight on him.

First Mayweather PPV in years I won't either buy/go to the cinemas for.

I've no pressing need to see a legend get tooled again.

does Marquez have a contract with top rank or is it a fight by fight type of deal?

IIRC, Marquez isn't promoted by TR. He's promoted by Zanfer Promotions who apparently have some type of agreement with TR. Does anyone know the details of this agreement?

    Correct.

Basically, when it comes to events in Mexico or involving their big Mexican stars, Zanfer gets a piece of the pie from TR.

    Otherwise they have no ties.

Zanfer is an independent body. They don't share in TR's riches from international events staged outside Mexico or not involving a Zanfer boxer, and likewise TR doesn't have their fingers in Zanfer's domestic promotions.

Marquez cites Beltran as the one who negotiated for the last two Pacquiao fights on his behalf. I think he's the go-between.

Only way I'd want to see it is with Marquez fighting someone who can focus on a defensive style and has good hand-speed, like Bradley, and impressing.
