Nice post. What is your criteria for 'notable?'

    Thank you, sir.

As for 'notable': nothing concrete (whatsoever). Just who I found were his most notable wins and worth mentioning.

Personally I see whether they were ever rated in The RING'S annual top ten (as provided by Boxrec Encylopaedia). But you could also look at numerical records alone but that's a bit more unreliable.

But if you have good knowledge of Walker and his opponents that's even better.

I held that in high regard as well. As for the names I posted under notable wins; I can (almost) guarantee they'll all be found in The RING's top ten at some point.

Also, just an FYI, I would never label a name under notable based merely on a good win/loss record.

If I see a pretty record on a name I don't know -- I check what quality of scalps they actually have and any other research on them that I can. In this case; Walker defeated Eddie Whalen (91-26) and Tiger Johnny Cline (92-48 ) and they were not included.

Top 15 easily. What a beast. He only fought Loughran once though? I coulda swore it was more than once.

Yeah that's good. I think they call it 'Peter McNeeley Syndrome' although by the time those alphabet titles were in full swing, even he was probably rated for a brief time.
