So talentless that he beat Virgil Hill, Tim Littles and Bomani Parker in the mid-80s, the best amateurs in the World. And never lost as a pro, not even against the fighter with the longest undefeated streak in the whole of boxing - he beat Eubank, clearly.

He showed, against Eubank - fast hands, hard punches, and an eery sense of positioning and distance for the counter lefts.

    3st in a few days?

Unless you or someone else comes up with some definitive proof that it's even possible to do, you are full of ****.

If someone does provide this proof (hugely unlikely), then someone has to provide proof that Eubank himself did this (even more unlikely).

If it is established that it is not possible to lose 3st in a few days (which will be the case) I will have to consider everything else you state about Eubank as null and void. This is due to the fact you will clearly say anything to try and justify bad performances when it's clearly bull****.

Eubank is renowned for his integrity, and this is what he said he lost and the time frame he lost it in. He still schooled Michael regardless.

Yes, yes, he had very good individual victories as an amateur. This much is true. But he never even made it to a major international tournament. He was not a great amateur. Or even necessarily a good one.

And he was a part-time pro. An affluent part-time pro. Who worked as a investment broker and had literally one week of training before 'schooling' Eubank. One week of training that was heavily interrupted.

And even if he was a great amateur, so what? Pro boxing has far more good amateurs who don't make it than those that do. The two sports nowadays are so different you can't make a judgement on how far someone can be expected to go via their amateur career alone.

The Eubank-Schommer fight was announced a week before the Eubank-Storey fight. Why would Schommer do nothing for seven weeks?:huh

Amateur boxing and pro boxing are 2 completley different things lot's of good amateurs never get anywhere in the pro game, and in that fight Schommer looked talentless to me he just edged backward popping off the straight left all night. As for him being unbeaten, look at his record (pre Eubank) it's as padded at it's worse, the majority of his opponents didn't even have a winning record. If it was Benn he fought you'd be saying exactly the same as me, your only praising because he fought Eubank.

    Nope. One week.

I'm going through the pre-fight press conference now when Eubank references it. I'll edit this post with his exact quote when I get there.

Thomas Hearns and Iran Barkley both pulled out of fights with him after viewing videos, according to an article in Boxing News in Sep '94.

Schommer wouldn't have lasted 6 rounds if he fought Benn.
