thing about this fight what annoys me is Matthysse beat Alexander fair and square it wasnt close like the Judah fight and Matthysse doesnt deserve a fight with Floyd so how the **** does Alexander? beatin Maidana (was his first fight at 147) then beatin Bailey earns u at a shot at Floyd Floyd has to fight twice this year to redeem himself for this **** fight
he aint fighting devon on 5 de mayo weekend, hes fighting guerrero. floyds team just wants to throw out a **** name so that when he announces guerrero as his next opponent, people will say "well, at least it aint alexander".
This fight is super risky with VERY little reward. Doesn't make sense just to pick up a meaningless belt. Picturing the fight will do a dull fight but the backing up style Devon fights may give him a tough fight.. If I had to speculate why? Floyd picking up a belt and setting up a 2nd Marquez fight using the angle of Marquez getting a 5th championship.
come to think of it this fight makes Mayweather vs Guerrero seem too good to be true so it was probably just his way of makin the Guerrero fight seem not so bad
Please read the rest of my post. He's a talented guy with some really quality wins at 140 and 147 but he's not a PPV fighter and Mayweather-Alexander isn't the type of fight that should realistically headline a Cinco de Mayo card.
