    Repetition Max (RM)

Working out your Repetition Max (such as your 1RM) must be done to true failure, so this also can be considered a form of training to failure. Though 1RM is the most popular and commonly used, any number of reps can be used, for instance a 10RM or 15RM, in fact your 10RM weight will be much more useful for you in terms of training than your 1RM[citation needed]. Some say it can be performed with a much lower risk of joint injury (due to the lower weight)[citation needed], while others say a 1RM is safer because failure occurs due to absolute inability of your muscles to perform at the attempted weight rather than due to fatigue.[3] Your 10RM would be the weight at which you can do 10 repetitions, but fail to fully perform the 11th rep - whether that be from loss of form or just natural inability.

Own me? You don't even understand what I said...

The guy suggested training 5 seperate lifts at 1rm on a single day, this is too much for the CND.

You didn't own me but you sure embarrassed yourself.

During another recorded conversation with the other inmate, Gonzalez allegedly said she "just basically got wrapped up in something that I should not have got wrapped up," and described Wilson as an inmate so high-profile that "when he farts it makes the news."

You really need to answer this question for me using your vast training knowledge. How did Westside Barbell (it's a power lifting group as I'm sure you have no idea who they are) get to be the strongest group of power lifters in the world, holding many world records using the methods you say don't work and are dangerous? Simple question for somebody as smart as yourself.

they dont do 1 rep maxes to actually get stronger...they do them to get the body/tendons/muscles/nerves system/bones accustomed to the load. They dont do 1 rep maxs all the time either..in fact many of their sets tend to be 3 rep training.

As far as overloading..some powerlifting schools even do negatives with weights in excess of the 1 rep max. Again that is more about building up acclamation rather than strength.

find me a westside barbell that focuses on 1 rep training consistently..most don't get any lower than 3 reps on any regular type of basis

Johnstown there are many top strength coaches using 1RM training for their athletes (particularly high jumpers). It's not used as much as other strength training methods but a lot of strength coaches swear by it as a method to increase strength without increasing weight in sports where success is strongly influenced by strength to weight ratio.
Your problem is that you state what you think is right (without actually knowing) and then you don't sway from that even though more knowledgable people correct you. That's called being stubborn and arrogant.

actually one person said you should do 1 rep training....I said no its not a good idea...higher risk of injury without a high rate of strength gains...and i also said the lowest you should go is 3 reps.

Virus, at some point said that you shouldnt do 1 rep training either..however..because of the fact that I said it he felt the need to refer to my post as totally wrong.

We than had a long back and forth....with one of the high points being both primate and virus arguing that 1 rep training is not a type of training to failure.
