    I haven't seen a single fight.
To TKO Quintana is pretty damn impressive, as well as his record of 19(18KO)-0 and the fact that he won prospect of the year 2012 or something like that.

What level bests describes his BOXING ABILITY?

    a) A Marcos Maidana who doesn't have the boxing ability to outbox good fighters i.e Devon Alexander, Amir Khan etc.

    b) A Lucas Matthysse who is on SOMEWHAT OF A SIMILAR level in terms of boxing ability against good fighters i.e Garcia, Devon Alexander.

    c) Near/just below a Miguel Cotto who can outbox all them folks i.e Garcia, Ortiz etc. etc.

(I mentioned three big punchers because Thurman is also a big puncher).

If he looks like he can be option c, it's something to be INCREDIBLY excited about! :happy

I've seen him live before and can tell you he's the real deal. Has a great skillset. Uses his instruments with ease. Country's not my cup of tea, though.

Which category do you put him in? A, B or C?

    Is there a "D" level?

D.) Still green w/alot of flaws but great potential & time to improve.

Why is everyone so desperate to find a silver lining with this guy?

The flaws are obvious, plentiful, and the foremost thing I notice about him besides the fact that he's got some decent pop (not the bone-crushing Julian Jackson power some were pitching him as having before his HBO debut against Lora...)

Like I said, I don't like country, so can't really tell you to be honest. The fact he banged Nicole Kidman has to put him at an A- TO A, though.

  12. One time baby. One time. ANY-BODY can get it. Thurman knocks out ANYBODY between 147-154. He'll be the most avoided fighter for the next 10 years.

he's not very defensively sound so that's bound to be his undoing, whether he has a good chin or not, but he has true punching power and is incredibly aggressive, loves going for the KO, is incredibly confident, and works the body. he's a very exciting guy to watch, so whether he's a future atg or not, it'll be great to see how his career plays out.
