Mayweather is a weird guy. I'm not sure if his account was hacked, one of his flunkies is pissed or playing a joke on him, or if he's playing a joke on the fans. Any way you look at it, I seriously doubt he'll be fighting Alexander in May.

    Canelo
    Martinez
    Guerrero
    Marquez II
    Trout
    Danny Garcia
    James Kirkland
    Manny Pacquiao
    Cotto II

Thats 9 fights that are available and would sell, that I can guarantee, we'd all want to see more than Alexander who really hasn't done anything to deserve the fight.
Now its true Canelo has not done much either, but its a big ppv event and Canelo has a big mexican following.

Alexander lost a majority of his fanbase with the "IT BURNS!!! IT BURNS!!!" incident.
Who the **** wanna see some yelping slap jab against Floyd? Come on, its a bunch of bull****.

This is all well and good and reasonable except that Floyd runs his mouth about being GOAT and how he's oppressed by Larry Merchant and a bunch of other stupid, whiny-sounding ****.

So when he picks guys to fight that go no distance at all toward backing up his claims, I will refuse to line his pockets further and join in the chorus of boos.

good list. I agree with all of that. This has to be a diversion.

I think Floyd realized we all assumed it'd be Guerrero and when he announced the fight, we wouldn't be excited or surprised, so he did this to make the Guerrero announcement bigger....at least I hope :?

I don't think he'll fight Alexander, but who knows.. isn't Devon signed with him?

Look at my avatar. I'm not a *******. Cotto and JMM are far and away my favorite fighters of this era.

There's no denying that after Oscar, Floyd, who was welterweight champion, fought a junior welter despite a high level of competition available at welter. Then, he fought a much smaller JMM despite a high level of competition at welter.

I'm not defending this potential fight. But Alexander's resume shits on Canelo's at this point. Fact.

Don't see this happening.. IBF won't make it a title fight, and I'm not sure what angle Floyd uses to sell this fight.
