Floyd Mayweather vs. Devon Alexander!

I'm really hoping this doesn't take place. I've never really liked Alexander, he has that smile that just pisses me right off.

 

Floyd by complete and utter ownage.

 

Yet Matthysse vs Alexander is one of Lucas's best "wins" atsch. You can't even keep your stories straight.

 

Assuming the fight happens, Alexander is going to start out by throwing jabs and combinations up top. Alexander's straight left isn't that sharp on its own. Floyd will probably roll these fairly easily, and start stepping into his right hand. Alexander has a bad habit of pulling straight back unprotected (Matthysse, Kotelnik), so Floyd will be able to catch him with anything he wants by following up as Alexander tries to work from the outside or retreat from the inside after throwing. Alexander's rhythm is extremely predictable. The only time I saw him put meaningful combinations together was against Maidana, and that was in the midst of clinching and pushing Maidana around in a way he won't be able to with Floyd. Floyd can get the stoppage depending on how much body work he invests in and how eager he is to get the stoppage.

 

Mayweather is suppose to be the best fighter of our generation though. You dont think he should be held to a higher account?

I disagree, Bradley showed you how to beat Devon rather easily, you pressure him work the body and you take away his south paw advantage and his boxing ability he cant deal with smart pressure and Floyd has shown to smart pressure Ortiz and Cotto in his last two fights.
Guerrero will put Pressure and even though I hate that fight to its better than Devon because Floyd will have to fight him in spots and box him in other spots.
Floyd should fight Canelo and get that out of the way, or Martinez even a fight with Bradley would be more acceptable than those two guys but if I really had to choose who I would rather see and was only given those two options obviously Guerrero seems to be the better selection

Some fan boys disagree, but you know damn well if Canelo isnt on the card that fight is not on PPV, and if it is it flops

Floyd hasnt fought in a while. Hes the only fighter that fights other champs as tuneups. Get off his dick already, jesus.

Guerrero is a better fight in terms of excitement, but Alexander is ok. It's better than Mike Jones/Paulie at the very least. :deal
