Your head is so far up Floyd's ass you can't see the daylight. There's an excuse for every Floyd fight not being made, and you believe them all. (In the case of Pac, neither side negotiated in good faith, but I lay most the blame on Pac) Retirements, fighting smaller guys, Floyd's consistently managed to not fight who the public sees as his biggest threat. He actually loves the hate he gets for it, too.
Ray Leonard WAITED until Hagler was ripe. Let's not pretend Ray took the fight when Hagler was in his best form. Please!!! Anyways, This fight isn't bad. I don't think it happens but I'm still ordering.
And Hearns and Duran? Were they ripe? Did SRL retire when his division was the hottest? Did SRL fight the 140 pound champ when he was the 147 champ? Did SRL fight a lightweight at a bogus catchweight then not make the weight? No way can a logical person compare SRL to Floyd.
So you can rehash all of Floyd's excuses? Technically, Floyd is one of the best I've seen in my life; top five I'd say. But a blind man can see how selectively he picks his opponents.
Yup SRL indeed DID retire due to a "Detached retina" After he got his ass knocked down by Kevin Howard (In a time when the WW was decently stacked) HE LEFT AGAIN!! Please learn your ****....
I'm buying it, I've said it once and i'll say it again, he's in the twilight of his career and may not fight again, I don't want to be the guy who missed his last fight live. But then again, if it were his last fight, I'm sure he would announce it in the buildup..
Fact is Floyd faces top 10 p4p guys or top guys in their respective divisions Pac north of 135 faces all blown up, over THE HILL, BEATEN already, trash cans. Hatton, destroyed by Floyd Cotto- 145 and destroyed by Margarito Margarito- Old and dragged down to 150 Oscar- 147 wtf! and old as **** Joshua Clottey- rofl.. Mosley- Old and already beaten by Floyd a year b4 he fought him Marquez- Loses to him again and again Bradley- Never was a WW titlist
So a medical reason is the same as just waiting guys out? Only in ***** land. BTW, I was alive back then. I remember this well.
This ain't about Pac. I didn't order most of the fights you listed. I loved Pac's earlier career (Morales, MAB, etc) but once he started cherry picking, I quit giving him my money.
Floyd actually never ducked anyone as far as I'm concerned. He faced everyone he could face. He was the one avoided. That's a fact. You can't even LIST any instances where Floyd ducked
So Floyd retiring back in 2007 (Due to a medical injury) is seen as ducking people? :dead Stop contradicting yourself!
