I've been trying to watch more and more of the ATGs recently to learn a bit more about the sport, so I thought itd be a decent idea to make a thread for people to leave the name(or names) of the favourite fighters and, say around, 5 of their best performances/most controversial fights/ or just the best fights they were involved in. This could give a chance to those relatively new to the sport like myself somewhere to choose what fights to watch of certain fighters, and also give more knowledgable fans a chance to study those that they have not quite got around to yet.

I don't think I've gotten this across as well as I could have, anybody get my drift?

    Cheers!

I know they're a bit obvious, but I don't think you can beat the first Moore-Durelle fight for a survival clinic, and then the rematch for an I-remember-what-happened-last-time defence and punch placement.

    Moore-Maxim
    Moore-Johnson
    Moore-Bivins

    Just to round it off.

Sorry more than 5 but they are worth a watch

    Evander Holyfield:

    Dwight Qawi 1
    Mike Dokes
    Riddick Bowe 1,2,3
    Mike Tyson 1
    Bert Cooper
    Ray Mercer

Also not an ATG but fun fighter to watch

    Iran Barkley:

    Michael Olajide
    Tommy Hearns 1 & 2
    Roberto Duran

Curry-McCrory and Hagler-Sibson for flawless counterpunching clinics.

Duran-Moore for counterpunching, rolling with punches, body punching, inside fighting and overall smothering (and ultimately extinguishing) the power of a bigger, stronger opponent. A beautiful performance.

I don't know what you're talking about. Sounds like the craziness you expect from someone who enjoys good hockey and bad football.

If you're a fighter and unless you have a very strong strength(speed, reflects etc) then I would suggest studying fighters who weren't phsyically gifted like Ezzard Charles,Archie Moore,Marvin Hagler,Gene Tunney.
No point trying to copy Ali,Sugar Ray,Foreman etc because they had gifts and capitalized on them
