I'd say if Cleveland Williams went at him like the first Liston fight then definatley, i think it'll be one of the left hooks he throws 3 or 4 times that will get Shavers

The heavier hitter between the two, and that one is Shavers...

Williams has the better boxing ability probably, and definitely better stamina.

That being said, it boils down to whoever lands first.

A bit of a toss-up with the edge going to the better boxing talent in Williams, as opposed to the more renowned puncher in Shavers, for me. But a toss-up.

I think Williams would land first and that'd be that. But it's really either or.

Yeah thats how it'll go... Lets not go with the faster, quick starter and the guy that hits hard but takes a while to get a good shot off and gets KO'd by Jerry Quarry in one round...

For the undisputed overrated heavyweight title, Shavers at least beat some quality opponents so I'll pick him.

I like Cleveland by stoppage around 7 or so.

This is what I would favour but to suggest shavers may land one bomb that would change the fight and give him victory is also plausible

If they fought ten times they might go 5-5. Two guys that had great power but were flawed in other areas.

I would say that if Williams lands half the punches on Shavers that he did on Liston in the early rounds he takes it.

Flip a coin really, I'd favour Big Cat slightly more with his superior speed and skill to land heavy first tho.

The better catcher, which is Williams. Earnie, for all his power, didn't have the durability or finishing ability to win shootouts versus really good competition with chins.

I still consider that fight an anamoly.

I lean slightly towards Williams, but no money going down.
