I hope he gets in. The division has more depth than I've seen in a long time, and some of the old guard is still performing well enough to test the up and comers.

I wouldn't mind seeing Barnett fight Overeem in his UFC debut.

Any idea the last stumbling block?

Something to do with drug testing :think

Who knows, we might get to see another classic grappler match-up.

    Barnett-Mir!!!

Without knowing anything, my guess would be some sort of sponsorship conflict issue. :conf

Could be that. Could be likeness rights, exclusivity rights, championship clause.... could be any of a hundred things.

Barnett is going to try his luck on the open market. What a ********. He must think he'll be better off trying to milk the World Series of Fighting or One FC for fights. I wanted to see him make a run against the best heavyweights in the world. Now his last world class fight will be his solid defeat by Cormier. Have fun in Japan, Josh. I am disappoint.

Maybe ufc should pay and treat there fighters better. A big name like barnett doesn't need an org.

Because he has no choice but to take what the UFC offer him right? Oh wait there are other options left? Josh much like every other fighter will negotiate a deal that is in HIS best interests. If thats not with the UFC then hey ho he fights elsewhere. As few options as there are left, thanks to Heir Dana and his quest for his Reich of world domination, there is of course One FC, Bellator et al. The UFC have always been difficult to negotiate, and are now in a position to dictate their own terms because there are so little options left, thanks again to the UFC. If Josh is better off without them more power to him.

:thumbsup You'd have thought a veteran fan like Sugar would have got that by now. He's too busy drinking the UFC koolaid....

I'm hoping he takes on the winner of Tank/Warpath.

Barnett would be a serious threat to the top fighters in the UFC though....
