Victor Burgos and Oscar Diaz, Updates on their conditions?

    The most recent update I can find on Victor Burgos is from 2007, that he came out of his coma and was recognizing friends and family.

    And the most recent update I can find on Oscar Diaz is from 2009, that he came out of his coma and was transferred to a rehabilitation facility...

    Does anyone on here happen to have any kind of news or insight as to these warriors' current conditions?

    I am pretty sure Victor Burgos is training his nephew Juan Carlos Burgos. Don't know much about Diaz though.

    If that is the case what a relief to find out he is ok. Sure would like to find out how Oscar Diaz is doing...

    As far as Oscar Diaz, this is from a USA Today article, February 2009.

    Googling doesn't bring anything newer up and wikipedia also isn't very helpful. Same with Burgos.

    We did get somewhat of an update on Victor Burgos in the lead-up feature on Juan Carlos Burgos for his fight with Rocky Martinez.

    They didn't give too many details but apparently Victor is doing well enough to give advice to Juan Carlos. Great to hear.

    Info regarding Oscar Diaz is still conspicuously missing from the internet after 2009 though :?

    Here's an update on Diaz from 2010 - he was recovering, but came down with pneumonia and ended up back in critical condition.     Here is a thread I found at B-scene that has a youtube interview vid with Z Gorres apparently shot in late 2012. Looks like his recovery has come a long way. :thumbsup
