Fail, there's no lateral movement or use of distance control from Brennan, to neutralise a left hooker you use lateral movement and try to control distance, but he pretty much just comes straight forward in a crouch

Again where are these fighters with great footwork Dempsey beat? There aren't any

with the knowledge that Tua can punch, Dempsey would use his speed vs the very slow Tua and Jack may get the stop if not he with a clear UD over the outpointable Tua but Jack can not be over confident or reckless like he was with Firpo....Jack had speed, power and would outwork Tua

Dempsey was a light heavyweight with little boxing skill from what ive seen of him. Tua would have obliterated him in one round.

How can Dempsey possibly win this fight? He didn't possess the jab to keep Tua occupied, nor does he have the mentality(or ability) to use his legs and keep David turning. He would be in David's wheelhouse the entire fight and there's no way that Dempsey, even with the benefit of modern nutrition and training techniques, would make it to the final bell. Any doubters need to check out Tua-Rahman I and Tua-Ibeabuchi. This guy was a block of granite in his prime.

All due respect but how do you see Jack taking '97-'98 Tua's punches?

Legacy wise Dempsey is better, H2H, he struggles with Tua , only for it to end brutally.

I have seen plenty of news reports from training camps that talks about Dempsey moving well and outboxing sparring partners a times....he generally didnt do that in fights..but i dont think that means he couldnt either.

Tua was slow and easy to avoid, I remember a fight with Jeff Wooden SD victory for Tua and he never did hurt Wooden and Wooden was ko'd by Rahman, Davis and Maskeav and on another note Lennox let David feel his power in round one and then after David signed the silent agreement to survive. Jack had speed and hit very hard and IMO this keep David at bay and the busier Jack outworks him.

Two guys who are there to be hit and hit like a mule kick.

I think tua and his chin see him win this by 1 round ko. They'll both come out for the kill, tua will eat jack's shots better than vice versa.

Paul gallico wrote that watching Dempsey " stalk his opponents with his cold, maniacal ferocity was the closest you could get to an attempted murder without being arrested as an accesory "

He evades Tua's heaviest artillery and stops him in the 8th or 9th .
