Ike has become one of the most overrated fighters of all time over the years. HOWEVER......... he would have beaten the Holy living **** outta bum ass Peter, and knocked him out within 6. Peter is a complete scrub.
Sam Peter needed a gift decision to beat an obese, shot, 5ft 9", 40-year-old former middleweight. Peter only picked up a belt because he beat a shot, 40-year-old, glass jawed Maskaev, who was only ever a fringe contender at best during his prime. Although to be fair to Maskaev he did get horribly over matched early in his career which didn't help his long tern development.
I'm fond of Sam Peter because I have been to a couple of his fights. He was a tank- big powerful guy,- however Ike beats him on account of his better athleticism, speed, technique, conditioning and work rate. Ibeabuchi was simply a better boxer & a better athlete.
Oh yeah, Ibeabuchi's career is based on a lucky punch against Byrd and a draw vs Tua, so he definitely KOs a former HW World Champ, who floored Wladimir 3 times and beat a number of top 10 fighters.
Of course the agenda-driven Klitschko haters are picking Ibeabuchi. Ibeabuchi is disgustingly overrated, he never accomplished anything in his pathetic career. - he was getting schooled by green Byrd until he landed a lucky punch - he went life and death with fat midget bum Tua - he fought 19 bums in 20 fights The disgustingly overrated Ibeabuchi gets destroyed by the underrated Peter.
Tua was mid 220's for their fight, around the best shape of his life & coming of wins over Maskaev, Ruiz. It was only Ike's 16th fight Bryd wouldn't have lasted another 5 rds in there!
John Ruiz Herbie Hide Michael Bent Tommy Morrison Alexander Povetkin Bruce Seldon Tony Tubbs All were held belts and he would Ko all of them.
