I disagree. We have to acknowledge that the argument "wlad is too big" is made completely redundant by jacks efforts against the shw of his day. Stylistically though I think Jack has two weaknesses. Those who can hit hard and take a shot. Those who can keep him on the end of a jab. If jack gets inside he'll **** wlads world up. Else he'll fail to get beyond that jav and be felled by a huge right, the likes of which he never before experienced. I think wlad is a better boxer than jack although someone with his punch can never be fully written off.
Then the only thing we disagree on, is Dempseys chances of getting inside. Personaly I think it is just a matter of time.
I think all the disagreements on jack's ability stem from the film. It shows punches thrown in his direction and you have those who believe he slips them all and those who believe he ships them all. That gif against tunney is impressive but his defence against firpo and carpentier doesn't look it to me. he is a good sized hw small enough to have a mobility advantage over the big guys but big enough to bully the smaller guys. For me it's all a question of whether it was bob and weave or more a case of rolling with punches.
Brewster didn't do ****, he was getting destroyed in the first fight, he's lucky Wlad was poisoned. Wlad destroyed Brewster and made him quit in the rematch. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iqcq63x0kr4
Of course if you just come on here and insult people, they are bound to change their minds and conclude that you are right!
Oh the irony What about the Sander's fight? Was he poisoned there too? Is that why he ducked a rematch?
I think he may have been one of the ones talking about how Wlad wasn't in his ''chin prime'' when he fought Sanders.....atsch
