On Adamek's wiki page. Talks between him and Pulev have been too quiet so it might well be true.

this would be HUGE in Poland, Szpilka has been calling out Adamek for the past year or so

Szpilka would be downright crazy to take this fight right now.

He's proven he needs serious work on his head movement and an active boxerpuncher like Adamek would derail his momentum.

It's also a lose lose fight for Adamek. The win doesnt do much for him, and one well place straight L hand could end his shot at Wlad.

It's better for Adamek to take a lower end top 50, duck Pulev, drop out of the IBF tourney, and take a shot as a voluntary next summer.

Or if he MUST have mandate money, he could go the way of Jonathan Banks and get it from the WBO angle.:think

Would that now make Pulev no.1 mando to Wlad?
No more excuses for Wlad, the fights are there for him

    I can see it now.

    Adamek will knock Szpilka out.

    The Mollo scare gets "forgotten".

Suddenly Adamek has genuine underrated power at heavyweight.

He is a "worthy challenge" for Wladimir. (the Vitali schooling also forgotten)

    ** OR **

    Szpilka will knock Adamek out.

    Adamek's many HW scares, forgotten.

Szpilka is the hardest puncher in the division!

    Szpilka deserves the Big Dance.

Wlad will most definitely fight Adamek at some stage.

Two useless, irrelevant HWs squaring off. Sure, why not. Not like you can fight in an eliminator or anything. :-(

Considering that Adamek has NEVER been KO's(Vitali was a stoppage, he wasnt put down for the count) in 50 fights, I think Szpilka would and should get MASSIVE amounts of respect for KO'ing Adamek.

    It makes sense.

Adamek would likely defeat Szpilka, but he really has little chance against Pulev. So it would be wiser for him to avoid Kubrat.

I've heard there's also a chance of Adamek-Banks II happening this year. I think Banks would beat the current somewhat faded version of Adamek.

lol, both situations very possible. Honestly haven't seen much of Szpilka but Adamek is bad enough that a KO should always be on the cards for one of his opponents,.
