Sonny Bill Williams vs. Francois Botha RBR

He demanded one during his interview. He shouted loud enough for Williams to hear across the ring, but the kid wouldn't even make eye contact.

 

**** me boxing can be so corrupt at times it funny. Love the way Williams was hurt in the 9th and they just decided **** it we'll only do 10 rounds. SBW has gotton alot ****in better.

 

I'll have to watch it when I get in. Hopefully some sort of enquiry will happen into the sudden change in rounds.

 

You can't blame SBW. Dude didn't even know where he was and impressed me.

However, something this blatant might warrant a criminal investigation. Not that there will be one. But I don't think this can be explained away, like poor judging can be.

 

SBW should never show his face ever again after that pathetic display.

 

Just clicked on the WBA International Belt on Boxrec and there have been both 10 and 12 rounders on there so an excuse for team SBW to fall back on. What did the announcer say at the start of the fight?

 

Twelve. Everywhere this has been mentioned or advertised, it's been twelve.

IB please give me a quick summary of this fight (cant go throiug the whole thread right now)

 

SBW wins at least sevens of the first 8 rounds.

Round 9: SBW looks tired, Botha has been conserving his energy and starts landing some good shots. Botha gets a point deducted for excessive holding.

Round 10: SBW gets into big trouble and is holding on for dear life. He gets deducted a point which gives him a nice rest. Then the round ends and the fight is called over even though it was scheduled for 12 rounds. If the fight went into round 11 SBW was gone.

It sounds as though there was confusion in Botha's corner about the duration of the bout. It was just an honest mistake on their part thinking that it was 12 round fight.

 

Botha is a disgrace!
