Boxing has always been and will always be a sport where all that's required is your own two fists and some real dedication (+ #hardwork) Maybe a skip rope, maybe a heavy bag, standard equipment like wraps and gloves, sure - but nothing fancy needed. You can train yourself to maximum potential the same way any past ATG did, even if most others are succumbing to fads and trends - and I'll never believe otherwise. Don't tell me Hagler in a time machine couldn't dominate MW in 50 years training exactly as he used to while everybody in the division is employing the "state-of-the-art" methods of 2063 and gobbling up the best supplements money can buy. (or ****, even PEDs)
I agree, guys like Hagler would do just as well with no real disadvantage compared to other fighters. But maybe there is something that makes him recover just a bit quicker, or allows him to work his stamina without hurting his knees, or eases cramps in his legs, etc. It wouldn't necessarily make him less or more likely to lose or beat whoever he has, but it might give him an extra edge in the late round of a fight or ease his recovery between rounds, etc. Get what I mean? These things aren't necessary, but they can help. Especially in weight jumping. Scientific weight lifting and explosive workouts > throwing stones and drinking urine. But that reinforces your point as well, as Marquez was a great fighter without that training. It just adds something extra that may or may not be useful. But I doubt it can dramatically improve a fighter's chances, it just may something extra. There's definitely the possibility it hurts; the whole altitude training theory has had visibly mixed results for example.
That's what I actually like about him. He's one of the top boxers in the world, and yet he also talks openly about his love for stuff like manga. He gushes over Bruce Lee too. He seems pretty laid back and relaxed rather than swaggering around trying to seem like a 'gangster'.
Basically anything without the hypoxic mask is better than with it, it's a training gimmick with as much science behind it as Conte's ZMA supplements. Actually probably less since at least Conte funded some studies to find some evidence for his ZMA supplements (nobody else could replicate his findings for some reason). I won't get into it right now but if you do a google search you should be able to find scientific articles explaining why they're nonsense. If you can't find anything I'll explain later.
When he was talking about his old stepping grounds, where he grew up with Andre Ward, the ghetto started to come out, and he mentioned it, it was funny. Not to say that Ward is ghetto, just that a lot of the people around Ward, worked in the gym that Nonito was at as a kid/teen. You know when you go around people from your old neighborhood and you get excited by it, you begin to talk with the same type of slang and stuff, because it's where you are from and it brings you back to those days.
They look like they do and that's what is important. He's actually breathing in PED vapor, Conte on that nex gen ****.
JMM also breathes pure PEDOXYGEN in the hyperbaric chamber Floyd also breathes ped while jogging, as ellerbe sprays cum-ped on his tracks. Klitchko drinks HGH in the morning. HayeGayeHaye Energy Drink.
I haven't really seen much drastic improvement in Donaire's performance with this so called State of the art training. He looked better when he was all natural against Darchinyan.
when Donaire states that he's out of breath and that the mask lets him recover quicker to throw more punches, do you think that's bs also and just placebo? I'm just curious. I heard from other sources about these things be useless also
