Listen to the interview. Floyd said it takes 6 months to promote/build a fight. Me talking about how he does not have an opponent is nothing like anticipating a fight with an opponent, venue, etc.

I find it funny the fight is less than 3 months and he has no one ready to roll. LOL.

I've heard the interview and boxers/coaches contradict themselves all the time. Their words should be taken with a pinch of salt, yet you're still here talking about his bout. Why? Because the date was put out there when he was going to box, with an opponent or not, it has slowly been promoting itself, who is Mayweather going to box? etc.

And like I said, the momentum will become even greater once his actual opponent is announced.

What do you think he's been doing ever since he indicated he would fight twice this year? Mayweather does not promote/sell his PPV's based off of any particular fighter, he promotes/sells to the whole sporting ecosystem, in case you haven't gotten the hang of it.

Promoting a fight does not start with the press tour, you know; it starts way before then. That's one type of way in which Mayweather excels.

Are we still on this? Pacquiao is a lightweight fighting at 147! Pacquiao offered a catchweight of 151, something Cotto demanded from Margarito...Cotto would still be much bigger than Pacquiao but still refused to meet him at a weight he's probably most suited to because it wouldn't disadvantage Pacquiao enough. Cotto is no 154 fighter...

Mayweather is a big welterweight now and is much more comfortable!

This Cotto thing from Mayweather trolls is just laughable every single time I read it....get out of the guy's crack and think for yourself!!!

Bottom line is Mayweather ducked Cotto at 147 when he was at his peak and undefeated...he manned up when Cotto was a beaten, battered and scared fighter looking for a payday

As for the OP, Mayweather is one of the most disciplined athletes around - he came out of prison with traps most people would kill for, he was working out there and you can bet he's been training ever since he was released.

Any athlete that is unwilling to take random blood test to prove that they are clean is flat out disgraceful and obviously have something to hide.

He still hasn't agreed. JMM wanted random testing after Roach opened his trap. Manny said Putang Ina NO.

There is only one fighter taking random testing today and that is Nonito Donaire. Floyd doesn't do anything even closely resembling it, so don't even go there.

Everyone knows Mayweather's insistence on USADA and his shady relationship with them was a deal breaker...he was insisting on Pacquiao training in the US instead of allowing VADA to administer the tests - look into Floyd's failed tests and USADA's cover-up - why is it that Floyd settled as soon as Pacquiao's lawyers demanded to see all of Floyd's documented drug tests by the USADA - documents were never produced and Floyd settled immediately with his grovelling statement of apology

Wake up and stop being a Floyd nuthugger

Stop lying. At no point did Floyd EVER say Pac can only train in the US and that he won't ever do VADA testing. VADA wasn't even around when USADA was hired :tired

If you can prove me wrong, feel free to post the proof.

Just google it - everyone knows Floyd has a deal with the USADA to do the drug testing for all his fights, it's well known and USADA would not be able to monitor Pacquiao in the Phillipines...I meant WADA - the insistence was on an independent body to carry out the testing
