and the 2nd fight... wlad help Byrd in court to get out of his Don King Contract and then to fight Byrd for the title, wlad had to pay a downward sloping % scale of his next 3 fights to Byrd if wlad won..... funny how bryd never talks about that.

What I can't understand regarding Dave Haye is prior to beating Valuev he wanted to fight Wlad, beat him then unify against Vitali and retire.

Then he gets a contract in which it stipulates that if he beats one brother he has to then fight the other immediately.

He gets what he wants and complains about it, then fakes a back injury to get out of the fight and pops up a few days later fighting Valuev.

I can't believe how people take Dodgy Daves word as gospel.

 

To be fair what does Chisora bring to the ring?

He has no fan base to think of (except a few Brits who think he's some sort of African Chuvalo), he isn't the British champion, he isn't even the best in Britain, his best win to date is against Sam Sexton and he's lost when he's stepped up.

If I was Chisora I would be wanking myself off just to have been offered the opportunity to fight for a world title.

 

You're forgetting that the Vitali fight (and post-presser brawl) made the Haye fight (and purse) possible for Chisora. They're not independent.

I have no problem with a rematch clause...but having clauses that include fighting me again and my brother for your next 3-4 fights before you can go anywhere else is unreal.
