Wow, that was a tough fight for Floyd. The one and only round he won decisively is the 12th. Every other round he won was close. Cotto won no less than five rounds. Mayweather looked completely ineffective at times. I think that this fight could have just as easily went toCotto, which would have been only mildly controversial.
Don't agree with this, Cotto did well and was competitive right the way through but there is no way he won the fight and he didn't come close enough to make it debatable. It would have been a complete robbery if he'd got the decision
i'm a big Cotto fan (my favorite fighter) But There is no way that he won that fight. He did really good, he landed some good stuff but Mayweather would outhustle him. It reminds me of the time Mayweather said that he fights to the level of his competition. Cotto bought the best out of Mayweather in that fight. Honestly I feel like Mayweather could have Knocked Cotto out in that fight especially the lsat round. I feel like he held back.
Cotto made every round competitive, and stopped floyd having an easy fight. Didnt win 5 rounds in my book though.
Well, Cotto winning would have been just as controversial as Bradley over Pac. Not controversial enough to warrant an investigation, and overturning of the decision, though.
It was a tough fight, people arent use to seeing floyd get taken to the trenches like that so there eyes were fixed on what cotto did, but if you pay attention you'll see floyd landed the better shots n cotto wasnt landing that clean. one of the best displays of bodypunching from floyd in recent years. i gotta watch it again, only saw it that one time
