I never really understood why Haye claimed a back injury to pull out of the Wlad fight when it's perfectly clear that he pulled out as the Uk broadcaster who were paying Haye's full purse of £700,000 Setanta went bankrupt 10 days after his withdrawal, I think most people would have thought it a legitimate reason to pull out if he wasn't going to get paid.

"pops up a few days later fighting Valuev" :think
He pulled out of the Wlad fight the 3rd of July I think and the Valuev fight wasn't until November 7th over 5 months later.

    You completely miss the point.

This never-ending stream of bums like David "the toe" Gaye, all have one thing in common......they won't FIGHT their way to a title shot. In Gaye's case, as with so many others, it's because they'd get beaten up along the way, and never GET to the position of being the mandatory defence for The Champ.

If these clowns had the ability to fight their way into a mandatory position, the Klitschkos wouldn't be ABLE to impose any stringent contract terms on them. But because these no-hopers want to cash in a few wins against nobodies for one big payday.....they pay the price.

What was Gaye's fantastic string of victories prior to getting a gift opportunity to make a huge payday against Wlad? He beat Monte Barrett, who had already lost to the likes of "Goofy" Whitaker, Joe Mesi, Cliff Couser, etc. To make matters worse, Barrett had beaten those guys in his PRIME. By the time Gaye fought him he was 38 years old.

Gaye then "beat" the circus freak, Valuev. In fact, it's doubtful if Gaye even WON that fight, but even if he did, so what? A nearly 50 year old Holyfield looked better than "The Toe" did against Valuev. Valuev, in a word, sucked.

The Toe then went on to fight a very old John Ruiz, who even in his prime was nothing to write home about.....but when Gaye fought him he was already 39. Another never-was who was years past his "best".

Then there was the debacle against Fraudley. Nothing more need be said about that.

On the back of this great string of accomplishments, "The Toe" got a fight against Wlad, and was wiped out.

Here's a clue to the contenders out there......try FIGHTING your way into a position to have a shot at a title, then if you can win, the world will belong to you.

Regarding him pulling out, why not tell the truth?

As for popping up fighting Valuev I was being sarcastic.

Planet Klit - Where Wladimir and Vitali Klitscko have been the premiere heavyweights of the last 10 years

    Deal with it

You think you'd win?? LOL The details of the contract are irrelevant as no one will ever beat either one of them. If they do happen to get lucky, well, then they have 2 more record paydays lined up, assuming they can hit lightning twice.

Wont happen. Neither will lose again.

    dont make **** up!
100% not true. We look at sparring partners that are the size and style we need, decide who we want, ask them to come..... some say yes, some say no...... simple as that. We have never paid a guy so he didnt go to the other team we are fighting.

I know this because i deal with EVERY sparing partner that we deal with AND paying them as the training camp manager:deal

    do you yourself get paid?

Again, irrelevant anyway, no one will beat them. But I would be excited with that contract if I was a boxer. As long as I can keep winning, I will get 3 HUGE paydays for myself and my family. If they duc me when I've won, oh well, I could always fight Ustinov for 20,000 lol.

The Klit contract id kinda like the lottery. Cash for life in 3 guaranteed fights...as long as I can do the impossible and win even 1 of them.

    exactly what doesnt matter?

Stop your whining and bitching. They are guaranteeing 2 more massive paydays, if their opponent can somehow win. WHat do you think will make more money for a fighter...a fight with Wlad OR Vitali, or the purse from fighting Dimetrenko, Arreola, Adamek, Cunningham, Ustinov, Golota, Sosnowski, Solis, and Chisora COMBINED??

For Klitschko fans who try to argue that the likes of Don King & Floyd have also made terrible offers what K2 do is unprecendented.

For a contract to say: if you beat fighter X you will then face fighter Y. If you beat fighter Y you will then face fighter X. If you will beat fighter X in this rematch you will then face another fighter of our chosing. All 3 future fights will be promoted by K2 & with predetermined $/%.

If that seems fair then remember that K2 also impose extravagent fines for being late or missing a press conference, or for wearing the wrong branded product at the wrong time.

If they dont like the contract and possibly winning the lottery, then the fighters should earn their shots and fight for less money with no guaranteed money afterwards. I bet Bradley wishes there was some stipulation he had to fight Pacquiao immediately after if he won. He'd have made INFINITELY more money than he has so far after his "big win".

    No they are not.

They are guaranteeing two more fights with the SMALLER amount of the purse.

It is easy to make more as the new Heavyweight Champion of the World, fighting anyone, and in America, than fighting K2 3 times on Challenger Money.

Well it seems to me all the so-called contenders are sitting on their ass without taking risky fights against eachother while they're hoping both K brothers retire. Wlad could well be here for another 3-4 years so that's how long Wlad will sit on the belts and make life hard for the rest of the division as they have no belts to fight for while ducking Wlad. I love that idea.

Let them whine and moan. Doesn't change the basic fact that there is no reward without risk, no mandatory title shot without a risky eliminator :deal

However a typical voluntary challenger would never get in the position of fighting for the HW championship of the world.

Let's play this through. A nobody like Pianeta wins the HW belt through a title-shot he was handed as a gift, then he should be handed 75% of the purses on his title defenses? On a voluntary shot?

Makes little sense to me business wise. I'd do things exactly as Bonte does. If the opponent brings nothing to the table he gets nothing. Simple as that. If the challenger doesn't like it then they can simply put in the blood, sweat and tears and become mandatory challenger :deal
