for Candian fans: Is Kevin Bizier a converted southpaw?

I've rarely seen an orthodox fighter double 'n triple hooks to the head 'n body with such leverage 'n balance if he wasn't a converted southpaw.

 

I follow Qubec boxing about as closely as one can and never heard any story to that effect.

Nothing to indicate that he's been converted, JG. But he certainly does have an educated left hand.

 

If I was a Canadian, would love to check into it. His educated left hand is too good not to be converted, unless he's ambidextrous.

Thought his left hand was money against campbell... his right hand left ALOT on the table tho....

 

My experience is: guys with great shotgun jabs and the ability to double 'n triple devastating hooks to the head 'n body (like Cotto 'n DLH, and an army of others) are usually converted southpaws.

Makes a lot of sense; their strongest hand is closest to the opponent.

Years ago, trainers only converted boxers because no on wanted to fight a southpaw.

 

What sort of fighter can't double up with punches with both hands?

 

FEW like Bizier, (certainly not with both hands) who turn over stiff jabs into tight multiple hooks to the head 'n body with such leverage 'n power, 'n stay on balance, dw. He's been well trained.

The fighters who can do that with their lead hand so effortlessly have usually been converted. Like Joe Frazier, who basically was a one-handed fighter.

 

Or they practiced their skills? Roy Jones threw combinations with his lead hand more effortlessly than anyone, he was right handed. Honestly if you're a professional boxer and you have one hand stronger than the other you're unprofessional and not a serious athlete. When you convert you often mess yourself up because you put your dominant eye at the front and you can't see punches as well.
